Making caramel sauce is actually much easier and faster than you may think, and totally worth it when it ends up being this healthy! I mean, who knew that caramel could be sugar free? I sure didn’t! This recipe turned out even better than I could have ever imagined. This recipe is perfect for dipping your fruit in, spreading on a piece of toast, drizzling over top of a rice cake, some popcorn, or even ice cream. You could even mix it in to some yogurt to make a caramel flavored treat, you can use this caramel sauce recipe for anything your heart desires!

What makes this recipe so perfect you ask? WELL, let me tell you! Not only is this caramel sauce keto and sugar free but each serving comes in at only 32 calories and LESS than ONE gram of net carbs and zero sugar! Does it get any better than that? I don’t think so! PLUS, all you need is fifteen minutes and six ingredients. So, what are you waiting for?

If you prefer, you can also use coconut sugar or regular table sugar in this recipe instead of the Allulose, but keep in mind that is will not be sugar free and the nutrition facts would be quite different.  Either way it is still completely delicious! this recipe is a real crowd pleaser and is perfect to bring to any pot luck or brunch that there could be some fruit to dip or something sweet to drizzle Caramel Sauce on top of. Keto Caramel Sauce

This gooey keto and sugar-free caramel sauce recipe requires only 6 ingredients and 15 minutes, and it tastes just like the real thing! I still can't believe how low calorie and satisfying this recipe is.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut cream (the thick part of a can of full fat coconut milk)
  • 3 tbs unsalted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 cups allulose
  • 3 tbs water
  • 1/2 tsp molasses
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • optional: 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and coconut cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Set aside and keep warm.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine Allulose, water, molasses, vanilla, and salt (if your adding it). Stir to combine, then heat over medium-high heat until the temperature reaches at least 350 degrees F, and the color just starts to change.  
  3. Stir the the warm cream and butter into the Allulose mixture you just heated. Mixture will bubble, but keep stirring and it will settle down.
  4. Cook the entire mixture over medium-high heat until the color deepens into an amber caramel color, stirring constantly until just combined, then pour into a glass jar. Chill in the refrigerator until cool. Enjoy! store in the fridge.
